Competitive Business Strategy for Working Photographers

Competitive Business Strategy for Working Photographers

“The key to victory is not defeating the enemy, but in defeating the enemy’s strategy; therein lies their weakness.” - Sun Tzu, “The Art of War”

Today’s working photographers are faced with so much information regarding the best ways to run their business. The categories of information include photographic quality, marketing, pricing, in-person sales, branding, customer experience, customer service and so much more. While much of this information is very good, today’s working photographers are left on their own to figure out how all of this information fits together into a singular, cohesive plan that targets their individual business objectives.

This is where business strategy comes in. Instead of trying to piece together individual parts of a business (marketing, pricing, branding, etc.), working photographers are better served by first establishing their business strategy then aligning all of their activities and projects with that business strategy.

During this program, you’ll learn the following:

    • What is a business strategy and how is it different than a business plan.
    • What are the five fundamental strategies and how to choose which is right for your business.

    • What is the difference between strategy and tactics and how do they relate to one another.
    • How the business strategy relates to sub-strategies such as branding, marketing, sales, product and customer service.

    • Developing a business strategy to gain competitive advantage.
    • How to use your business strategy to choose your customers, products and services as well as set priorities

With a better understanding of business strategy, you’ll have a clearer understanding of what you need to focus on for success!
