Unlocking the Power of Photoshop Brushes: The Fine Art of Painting Wildlife & Art

Richard Sturdevant is a 4-Time PPA IPC Double Diamond Loan winner. He is known for an impressive track record in PPA print competition - receiving 16 prints with a perfect 100-point score in both state, regional and district competitions. He also made history with PPA at SWPPA District competition in September 2010 for the highest print case ever scored in the USA, receiving a 100 print score on all four of his prints. He is the 2011 and 2012 Grand Imaging Award (GIA) Winner with best print in PPA

Sturdevant fluidly combines photography with fine art skills that stem from his artistic roots. Prior to becoming a photographer, Richard made his living as a classic and award-winning artist and was a national art instructor and a published subject matter expert. Using airbrush and oil, his unique but photorealistic style made for a natural transition to photography. Today his passion for painting comes alive in his creations of photographic art.

Join us for a night to learn how to create beautiful images, Sturdevant-style.

Meeting Cancellation Policy

If our monthly membership meeting is cancelled due to inclement weather, location availability, natural disasters or other practical reasons, Austin PPA will attempt to reschedule the meeting for the following week or as soon as possible. If the meeting cannot be rescheduled for a particular month, fees submitted by all registered attendees will be applied to the following month’s membership meeting. One or more email messages will be sent to all registered attendees and the general membership regarding the cancellation and available rescheduling information.
