  • Please indicate in the notes whether you are entering prints or digital. Physical prints must also be accompanied by digital images for each entry. ALL digital submissions (for print or digital only) are due by midnight Wednesday, May 29th (Central time).  Austin PPA's annual Photographic Competition is coming up on Sunday afternoon June 2nd. The Annual Photographic Competition is different from our monthly competitions in that three qualified jurors will score prints according to the PPA’s twelve elements of a merit image, and provide a numerical score for each image. At our Annual Competition we will accept not only digital images but also prints and albums.

Registration and submission of digital images deadline is midnight, Wednesday, May 29th. Registration for the EVENT ONLY has been extended to Friday 31st at midnight for those who would like to observe and/or volunteer.

Even if you are competing with physical prints, you MUST register by this deadline and SUBMIT DIGITAL VERSIONS of your physical prints and/or albums.

Please read the Annual Competition Rules, including the specifications for digital files, carefully.

The event will be kicked off with a catered lunch, followed by print judging and award presentation. You can attend this event entering prints, digital images, or just attend to observe. It’s going to be a fun and informative event so register now!

  • Lunch: noon - 1 pm.

  • Print judging: 1 pm - 4 pm

  • Awards / wrap up: 4 pm - 4:30 pm
